As we embark on another exciting week of learning adventures, I wanted to provide you with a glimpse of what's ahead and some important dates and reminders to mark on your calendars.
Week at a Glance:
Math: This week, we will be kicking off our unit on time. Students will dive into how to tell time on an analogue clock and how to calculate elapsed time.
Literature: Our literary journey continues as we delve into the timeless classic, "The Jungle Book" by Rudyard Kipling. Through this captivating story, students will explore themes of friendship, courage, and identity.
History: In our history lessons, we will continue our exploration of the fascinating world of the Vikings. Students will learn about their culture, traditions, and contributions to history.

STAAR Interim Tests:
Monday, February 5th: STAAR Interim Field Test (Practice Session)
Wednesday, February 7th: STAAR Interim Math Test
Monday, February 12th: STAAR Interim Reading Test
Viking Celebration:
Thursday, February 8th: Students will engage in fun and educational activities related to Viking culture. We still have a few supplies left on the sign-up genius. Your contributions are greatly appreciated.
Friendship Day and Family Game Night:
Friday, February 9th: We will celebrate Friendship Day followed by Family Game Night. Families are invited to join us for an evening of games and camaraderie.
Parent Open House:
Tuesday, February 20th - Thursday, February 23rd: Mark your calendars for our Parent Open House days. Parents will have the opportunity to observe classroom activities and gain insight into their child's learning experience.
Signups for Parent Open House will be sent out on Monday, January 29th, and will close on February 13th.
Field Trip to the Witte Museum:
Thursday, February 29th: Our field trip to the Witte Museum is on the horizon. The deadline to sign up your scholar for the field trip and order lunch is February 15th.
