First Day of School

The day of school is Wednesday, 8/10/2022. Drop-off starts at 7:15am and ends at 7:50am. Students will need to bring any materials they forgot on Meet the Teacher and should be prepared for class to start by the 7:50am tardy bell. In class on the first day, we go over classroom procedures and layout, school-wide procedures, and layout, and get to know each other better as a class. Students will need their backpacks, lunch (if not getting school lunch), and snack. Students will also need a refillable water bottle just like they did last year as water fountains are only for filling bottles.

Traffic x8 (is what it'll feel like)

Many of us have gotten use to the lesser amount of traffic in the mornings and afternoons of summer. Be prepare for traffic come Wednesday. Remember that many other schools are starting as well in addition to the construction on Jones Maltsberger, and traffic will be exponentially worse on Wednesday morning and afternoon. There will be many new families as well as students who may not be familiar with procedures and both drop-off and pick-up will most likely take longer than normal for the first few days. Please be patient with other families, GHNO teachers and staff, and the policemen directing traffic. Follow all guidelines and procedures outlined in the school traffic updates. NO CELL PHONES. Please, Please, Please, do not be on a cell phone while in either of the lots. Stay alert and do not move your vehicle if children are in front, beside, or within arm's-length of it.
